The farm

Sadie went on her first trip to the Waffle House this past weekend, and while we were out, we decided to keep driving and headed up to the farm for a couple of hours. We're trying out new ways of getting to the farm, finding the best back roads to get there. There are some beautiful scenes out in the middle of nowhere, and we want to find as many as we can.

I helped Alan plant a tree for Melody, and Sadie spent some time sitting in the yard looking at the animals that would come close enough. She is just enamored with dogs, chickens, anything that moves. She laughs at them, watches them intently and tries to touch them if they get close.

As you can see below, she's really mastered the art of sitting up. It's her new favorite pastime. She sits in the floor and plays with her toys. Her struggle now is if she throws the toys out of her reach. She'll lean forward to get the toy and just keep going, face planting into the blankets or pillows we have around her. We laid her on her stomach last night and she started kicking really hard. As soon as she figures out what to do with her arms, I think she's going to be crawling all over the place.

The turkeys in the background of the pics are supposed to be our Thanksgiving Dinner, but we'll see what happens. They started out with 6 turkeys, and only two have made it. Raccoons, sickness, and other things (Chupacabra maybe) got the others. The tom (male) is always puffed up and gobbles at the slightest provocation. The hen is very friendly and let us touch her.

Anyways, just some pics of fun at the farm
