Sadie Grey Vernon was born on May 24th at 11:51AM. She weighed 7 lbs. 2 ozs. and was 20.75" long. It was a long labor process for Steph that I'll try to get into later, but ultimately Sadie came into this world peacefully and perfectly. To watch my daughter be born was an experience that I don't think I'll ever be able to put into words. The most emotional moment of my life so far. Once the NICU team had checked her, she was placed on Steph's chest and just hung out. She's been a tremendous joy, and I'll talk more about her as we go on.
She's almost 4 weeks old now, and the difference in that 4 weeks is amazing. She's smiling at Steph purposefully now and already has quite the personality. She's bored easily and needs to see new things when she's not sleeping. She sleeps through the night well, waking every 4 hours or so to eat.

I gotta say, this first Father's Day was great. It's quite daunting to know that Steph and I are responsible for raising this little girl into a woman.
